Anatomical Heart Simulator

HEART • PREVIEW Press Play to start the Anatomical Heart Simulator.

Description

The Anatomical Heart Simulator is an interactive educational model for exploring heart anatomy, valve timing, blood circulation, electrical rhythm, and the stages of the cardiac cycle. The anterior cutaway view shows the right and left atria, right and left ventricles, major vessels, heart valves, interventricular septum, and other visible structures while animated blood-flow particles demonstrate pulmonary and systemic circulation.

You can change heart rate, slow the simulation, adjust motion strength, jump directly to different stages of the heartbeat, and turn anatomical labels, blood flow, valve labels, and oxygenation colors on or off. The simulator also includes simplified teaching modes for aortic stenosis, mitral regurgitation, ventricular septal defect (VSD), reduced left-ventricular function, and atrial fibrillation. These condition modes are educational models and are not diagnostic.

How To Use

HEART SIMULATOR CONTROLS
Start the heartbeat and use the controls to study how the chambers, valves, blood flow, and cardiac-cycle timing change. Click a chamber or valve in the heart diagram to identify it.
ControlSettingAction
HeartbeatPause / PlayPauses or resumes the beating-heart animation.
Heart Rate40–160 BPMChanges the physiological heart-rate reference used by the simulation.
Simulation Speed⅛×–1×Slows playback so valve motion and blood flow are easier to study without changing the selected BPM.
Motion StrengthSliderChanges the visible strength of the heart's animated movement.
Cycle StageButtonsJump to Filling, Atrial Contraction, Ventricular Contraction, or Ejection.
Heart ConditionsSelectCompare Normal, Aortic Stenosis, Mitral Regurgitation, VSD, Reduced LV Function, and Atrial Fibrillation.
Anatomical LabelsToggleShows or hides labels for the visible heart structures.
Blood FlowToggleShows or hides animated circulation through the heart and vessels.
Valve LabelsToggleShows or hides the tricuspid, mitral, pulmonary, and aortic valve labels.
Oxygenation ColorsToggleShows the color distinction used for oxygenated and deoxygenated blood.
Heart DiagramClickSelect a chamber or valve to display information about that structure.
Live CycleReadoutDisplays cycle percentage, beat duration, current stage, and valve state.
ResetButtonReturns the heart simulation to its default state.
01Start with Normal mode and watch the blood pathway through the atria, ventricles, lungs, and body.
02Use Slow Motion or jump to a cardiac-cycle stage to study valve timing and chamber movement.
03Select a heart condition and compare its simplified flow or motion changes with the Normal reference model.
