stalls, or reports an error, ORACLE automatically refreshes the voice
engine and continues from the latest spoken word instead of restarting.
Background culture audio is enabled only while CURATOR MODE is active.
It stays below the narration level and crossfades when the culture changes.
After a completed reading ORACLE waits 5 seconds, loads the next culture,
and keeps reading. Ⅱ remains a manual pause and will not auto-resume.
