Earthquake Room Simulator

The room begins in a normal, calm state. Toggle the earthquake on to see how magnitude, distance, ground, and building response affect furniture, hanging objects, decor, and room motion.

Calm room

The simulator is currently in its normal resting state.

Room effects

This version uses layered shading, perspective, smoother quake transitions, reinforced shapes, and physics-based falling so objects wobble, lose support, accelerate under gravity, collide with the floor, and settle.

Hanging lightSwings with a longer period and gradually grows in amplitude.
Books & decorRattle first; individual books then lose support at different times and fall under gravity.
FurnitureThe sofa and table slide; the chair can rock, lose balance, fall under gravity, bounce slightly, and settle.
Cabinet doorsOpen progressively as motion becomes stronger.
Wall finishCosmetic cracks appear only in the strongest demonstration levels.
Camera motionThe whole room view translates with the simulated shaking.

Synthetic shaking trace

This waveform is a visual driver for the animation. It is not a recorded seismogram.
